Dalian: Russian energy giant Rosneft is considering developing an LNG project in China’s Shandong province.
It has chosen Binzhou city for the project which will involve the development of a LNG terminal and storage facility, Shandong local media reported.
Rosneft and China’s CNPC agreed to cooperate on a refinery in Tianjin in 2010, however, the two companies have yet to agree on terms to start construction.
Earlier this month, Rosneft has offered China a stake in a potential petrochemical plant in Russia’s Far Ease in a move to widen cooperation. [20/02/14]
