Rowan jackup gets three-year Saudi Aramco contract

US offshore driller Rowan Companies has leased its super gorilla XL class jackup rig Bob Palmer to ARO Drilling, its joint venture with Saudi Aramco.

The jackup will be used for a three-year contract that ARO Drilling has been awarded by Saudi Aramco.

The Bob Palmer was previously under contract with Saudi Aramco, and will now continue operate in Saudi Arabia through ARO Drilling.

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List.
