Russian port boss accused of embezzling $25m

The head of the Russian port of Ust-Luga has been detained by a court in St Petersburg on suspicion of fraud. Valery Izraylit, the chairman of the Baltic port of Ust-Luga, is accused by the Federal Security Service (FSB) of embezzling RB1.5bn ($25m)

Izraylit, 54, has been in charge of the fast developing port for the past 15 years.
