Sadler takes private equity role

Not hanging around since leaving Lloyd’s Register (LR), Richard Sadler will start January 1 as CEO of London-based private equity firm, Foresight Group. Sadler had been in charge at the UK classification society LR for the past eight years. Prior to that he had been at RBS.

Sadler said he is looking forward to joining the family company, widening his knowledge and taking the group, which has investments of more than £1.5bn, forward with new ideas that can foster stability and growth in this challenging period following the downturn in the oil markets.

Alastair Marsh is stepping from CFO to become CEO at LR effective January 1.
