Said Rajee port renovations complete

Dubai: Repair works at the berths of Iran’s Said Rajee port have been completed. The port had been in decline for much of the past decade with crumbling concrete making ship berthing hazardous. Unlike previous repair works at Iranian ports, the renovation of Said Rajee has been completed entirely by Iranian workers.

“This work has been done in order to increase the safety of vessels as well as to improve the effectiveness of loading/unloading operation“, local authorities said.

Iran has set about a period of significant port building amid a lifting of sanctions and increased trade with Asia especially China.  [06/01/14]
