Saipem secures drilling contracts worth $170m

Italy’s Saipem has announced a host of new drilling contracts and extensions worth a total of around €150m ($169.7m).

Eni Portugal has awarded Saipem a contract utilising Saipem 12000 for work offshore Portugal during the third quarter of 2016, while in Norway Eni Norge has extended its contract for Scarabeo 8 to October 2017.

Saipem also secured a number of onshore drilling contracts in South America, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan and Morocco.
