SAL Heavy Lift awarded transport contract by GeoSea

SAL Heavy Lift has been awarded a contract by GeoSea for the shipment of 49 transition pieces for the Horns Rev 3 Offshore Wind Farm.

Under the contract scope, SAL will transport the transition pieces from fabrication yards in Aalborg, Denmark and Vlissingen, Netherlands to the project port of Esbjerg in Denmark.

The contract award follows on from SAL securing a transport contract from GeoSea for the Hornsea Project One offshore wind farm project.

“We are proud that GeoSea placed their trust in us for this time-critical project. Looking at a tight time schedule, we draw on past experience and expertise to ensure a safe and successful project. With our ready-made designs for TP grillages and TP lifting tools, which can be modified to the specific needs of our clients, it was possible to meet the demanding requirements of our client,” said Philip Stackmann, project manager at SAL.

The project will commence in early July and last for a period of around 65 days.
