SAL Heavy Lift secures contract from Offshore Windforce

SAL Heavy Lift has signed a contract with Dutch firm Offshore WindForce, a joint venture between Boskalis and Volker Stevin International, for the transport of 67 transition pieces for the Veja Mate offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.

The transport will include some 12 voyages from Aalborg, Denmark to Eemshaven, Netherlands from where the transition pieces will be handed over to a specialised installation vessel.

SAL will also be responsible for the design, engineering, fabrication of specialised grillages and lifting tools.

The contract will start in June 2016 and is scheduled to end two months later.
