SapuraKencana wins contracts worth $72m

Malaysia’s SapuraKencana Petroleum has announced the award of two new contracts and an extension with a combined value of around $72m.

The first new contract is for a engineering, procurement, construction & commissioning project from Roc Oil in Malaysia. The works involves the preparation of a simultaneous production and drilling package on D35DP-B platform for a drilling campaign and well tie-in. The contract is for a period of four months and work is expected to commence before the end of the year.

SapuraKencana has also been awarded a subcontract from L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering for the additional development of the Vasai East Project in India. SapuraKencana will be responsible for the installation of structures and pipelines and other subsea work at the project, which is located in the Arabian Sea, around 78km offshore Mumbai. Work will commence in March 2016.

Lastly, a contract for semi-tender assist drilling rig SKD Alliance with Foxtrot International in Côte d’Ivoire has been extended by five months to August 2016. Foxtrot still has options to extend by three additional wells.
