Saudi Landbridge project progresses

Doha: Saudi Railway Company (SAR) has invited prequalification bids for the Saudi Landbridge project’s construction supervision consultancy contract.

Applications are to be submitted by July 22.

The Landbridge project involves the construction of around 1,200 km of railway line linking the Red Sea port city of Jeddah with the Saudi capital Riyadh, where it would connect with the existing line to Dammam on the Gulf coast. It will also run an extenstion from Dammam to Jubail Industrial City. The construction is expected to take seven years.  [11/06/14]
