Schlumberger awarded North Sea subsea contract by Equinor

Schlumberger’s OneSubsea has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction contract by Equinor for the supply of the an all-electric actuated subsea boosting system for the Vigdis Field in the Norwegian North Sea.

The work scope includes a pump station, with a manifold foundation and protective structure; and a pump module, topside equipment, umbilical, and all-electric controls with electric actuation.

Don Sweet, president of OneSubsea, commented: “Our field-proven boosting technology, including electric actuation, will deliver an increased level of digital monitoring and control—this will be a key enabler for increasing oil recovery and unlocking the field’s full production potential, while reducing environmental impact.”

Work will commence immediately and the first delivery is scheduled for the first quarter of 2020.
