Scorpio Bulkers fixes ultramax

Emanuele Lauro’s Scorpio Bulkers has announced that is has fixed 2016-built ultramax bulker SBI Hera out on time charter.

The charter, with an unaffiliated third party, is for a period of four to six months at $14,850 per day.

Scorpio owns a fleet of 56 bulkers, made up of ultramaxes and kamsarmaxes, generally operating in the spot market via Scorpio pools.

In October, the company announced time charter agreements for eleven of its vessels followed by an additional vessel in November.

Grant Rowles

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List.
