Scorpio Bulkers secures new loan for kamsarmax pair

Emanele Lauro’s Scorpio Bulkers has received a commitment for a loan facility of up to $30m from ING Bank to refinance two of the company’s kamsarmax bulk carriers, SBI Zumba and SBI Parapara.

The loan facility has a final maturity date of five years and increases the company’s liquidity by approximately $8m after repayment of existing debt attached to the pair.

Scorpio Bulkers has an operating fleet of 56 vessels and has one newbuilding under construction at Yangzijiang Shipbuilding.
