Scorpio Services Holding buys more of Scorpio Bulkers

Scorpio Services Holding, controlled by Annalisa Lolli-Ghetti, has increased its stake in NYSE-listed Scorpio Bulkers to 10.01% by acquiring another tranche of shares.

The privately owned company has bought 620,465 common shares in the open market at a price of $3.75 per share since January 12. The stock closed at $3.84 per share on Thursday.

Scorpio Services technically and commercially manages the Scorpio fleet through its subsidiaries and began buying shares in the company in late July 2015. Its majority shareholder Annalisa Lolli-Ghetti is one of the three daughters of Dr Glauco Lolli-Ghetti, who founded Scorpio Ship Management in the 1950s. She is also the aunt of Emanuele Lauro, Scorpio Bulkers’ co-founder, chairman and CEO (pictured).
