Sea Pioneer in for Japanese panamax

Brokers report Sea Pioneer Shipping is paying Japan’s Yamamaru Kisen just over $5m for the 12-year-old Mulberry Paris panamax bulker. The ship was built at Tsuneishi’s Japan yard.

Shipping database Equasis shows Hiroshima-based Yamamaru Kisen has 27 bulkers in its fleet.

Japanese dry bulk owners have been especially strong in selling tonnage this year.
