Seadrill Partners has secured one year contract extensions from Chevron Thailand for the tender rigs T-15 and T-16.
The extensions are worth around $80m, and will see the rig contracts now expire in July and August 2019 respectively.
As part of the extension, the day rates on the rigs have been reduced effective from October 1, 2015. The new rate sees a reduction in revenues of $35m based on the previous contract, however will result in an overall increase of $45m in total backlog.
