Seadrill secures drillship extension from Petrobras

John Fredriksen’s Seadrill has secured a contract with Petrobras for its 2013-built drillship West Tellus in Brazil.

The contract is for a duration of two years and the total contract value is expected to be approximately $170m, inclusive of managed pressure drilling and ancillary services.

The commencement of the contract is expected in the fourth quarter, in direct continuation of its current contract with Petrobras.
