Seatankers acquires four resale PSVs from Fujian Mawei

John Fredriksen’s Seatankers Management has signed an agreement with China’s Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding today for the acquisition of four resale PSVs.

The four vessels (MW6281, MW6282, MW6283, MW6285) were originally ordered by Malaysian OSV operator Nam Cheong, who sought court protection in October last year.

The deal is believed to be Seatanker’s first OSV acquisition. The company currently operates a fleet of 18 vessels made up 14 bulkers and four tankers, and also has another 12 bulkers on order.
