Second LR2 products carrier delivered to Scorpio Tankers

New York: NYSE-listed Scorpio Tankers has taken delivery of STI Alexis, an 110,000-dwt LR2 product tanker, from South Korea’s Daehan Shipbuilding.

The vessel has been fixed on a 52-day voyage at approximately $33,500 per day, Scorpio says.

This is the second such tanker to be delivered in a week. Another LR2, STI Veneto (114,000 dwt), was delivered to Scorpio on January 30 from Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries.

The vessel has been fixed on a 60-day voyage for approximately $32,000 per day, the company said last week.
