Sentek Marine takes elderly VLCC for $16.5m

Sentek Marine, best known as a Singapore bunker supplier, has bought its second VLCC. Brokers report it has paid $16.5m for a 21-year-old tanker, OS Concord, owned by South Korea’s Syncro Shipping. The ship is now on subs with a drydocking due.

Sentek was linked last year to a Gener8 VLCC, a ship that eventually ended up in the fleet of Thailand’s Nathalin.

Founded in 1993, Sentek has grown to become among the top three bunker names in Singapore, the world’s top bunkering port.
