Sesoda orders six bulkers

Taipei: Taiwan’s largest potash manufacturer, Sesoda, has announced that the company has ordered six bulkers through its subsidiaries and joint ventures.

The company is to build six bulk carriers including two 34,000 dwt bulk carriers at the cost of no more than US$25m each and six 38,000 dwt bulkers at the cost of up to US$26m each.

The vessels will be built at Namura Shipbuilding, Imabari Shipbuilding and another Japanese shipyard, and are due for delivery between 2016 and 2018. [18/02/14]
