Seven Islands reportedly in for $50m product carrier quartet

India’s Seven Islands Shipping has swooped for four product carriers from Koenig & Cie, according to brokers.

Officials from Seven Islands declined to confirm the deal when contacted by Splash.

The Indian firm is understood to have paid $50m en bloc for three Hyundai Mipo-built and one Guangzhou Shipyard International-built tankers.

The ships are listed as King Ernest, King Edward, King Everest and King Emerald.

Founded in 2002, Mumbai-based Seven Islands has eight other ships in its fleet.
