Seven Islands Shipping takes Ancora product tanker

Indian owner Seven Islands Shipping has acquired the 1999-built MR2 tanker Angelica An from Greek owner Nick Parashins’ Ancora Investment.

According to shipbroking sources, the ship has been sold for a price of $6.8m, substantially higher than MSI’s valuation of $5.7m.

The vessel has joined Seven Islands Shipping’s fleet already and been renamed Abalone. It is the third vessel Seven Islands Shipping has acquired this year, having bought MR tankers Torm Amazon in January and Chiltern in February.
