Shandong Shipping lists on NEEQ

Shandong Shipping, the largest shipowner in Shandong, officially listed on the National Equities Exchange and Quotations (NEEQ) yesterday.

The controlling shareholder of the company, Shandong SASAC (State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission) expects to use the raised funds to “ease financial pressure and make more efficient investments.”

Shandong Shipping operates a fleet of 34 vessels, mostly bulk carriers and VLGCs. It entered the offshore sector in 2014, ordering four jackup platforms which are currently under construction at Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding.
