Shanghai Changhang Shipping to scrap heavy lift vessel

Shanghai Changhang Shipping, a subsidiary of Sinotrans & CSC, is going to send 20-year-old multi-purpose heavy lift vessel Bright State for scrap.

The 13,000dwt vessel was built by Japan’s Kitanihon Zosen Shipyard in 1997.

Shanghai Changhang Shipping said the demolition of the vessel is part of the company’s fleet optimization plan and the company is also looking to acquire wind installation vessels and livestock carriers to expand its fleet portfolio.
