Shanghai Changjiang Shipping orders boxship at Jiangdong Shipyard

Shanghai Changjiang Shipping, a subsidiary of Sinotrans & CSC, has placed an order at Wuhu Jiangdong Shipyard for the construction of a 1,140 teu containership.

Delivery of the vessel is expected in 2020.

Shanghai Changjiang Shipping mainly operates domestic river and coastal shipping with a fleet eight vessels.

The order is the second feeder boxship contract secured by Jiangdong Shipyard in the past two weeks, after Wuhan Xingang Datong Shipping ordered two 500 teu boxships at the yard at the end of August.
