Shearwater GeoServices secures 3D survey contract from Reliance

Shearwater GeoServices, the Norwegian seismic JV between GC Rieber and Rasmussengruppen, has been awarded a 3D broadband marine seismic acquisition contract by Reliance Industries in India’s Bay of Bengal.

The project is scheduled to commence in the second quarter of 2020 and covers 1,500 sq. km of block KG-UDWHP-2018/1 in the Krishna-Godavari basin.

Work will be executed by 2011-built survey vessel Polar Duchess.

Grant Rowles
