Shelf Drilling jackup contract extended by Sirius Petroleum

Dubai-based offshore drilling contractor Shelf Drilling has secured an extension from Sirius Petroleum for its 1981-built jack-up rig Adriatic I.

The rig was initially contracted for drilling operations offshore Nigeria for a period of 135 days, with options.

The extension is for 105 days and keeps the rig committed to Sirius until January 2020.
