Shreyas sends feeder boxship to scrap

Indian container feeder operator Shreyas Shipping & Logistics has entered into a memorandum of agreement for the sale of containership SSL Sagarmala.

According to VesselsValue, the 1989-built 570 teu vessel has been sold to a scrap yard in Bangladesh at a price of $400 per LDT.

In the meantime, Shreyas has taken delivery of three vessels, the 1,500 teu SSL Ganga, 4,200 teu SSL Brahmaputra, and the 650 teu SSL Balaji.

The SSL Brahmaputra, which was purchased in October, has become the largest vessel in Shreyas’ fleet.
