Siem Offshore secures three-year research vessel extension

Siem Offshore has announced that its subsidiary, Overseas Drilling, has reached an agreement with Texas A&M Research Foundation (TAMRF) for the extension of a charter for research vessel  Joides Resolution until 30 September 2019.

TAMRF has further options to extend the charter until 30 September 2023 on an annual basis.

The Joides Resolution was originally built as a drillship and in 2009 converted to a core sampling research vessel at Singapore’s Sembcorp Marine.
