Siem Offshore signs five year deal for MSRV

Oslo: Norway’s Siem Offshore has announced that it has entered into a charter agreement with an unidentified construction diving and subsea engineering company for Siem Marlin (5,000 dwt, built 2009).

The agreement is at market terms and is firm for a period of five years, with a purchase obligation at the end of the charter period. The charter will commence in September.

The multipurpose field & ROV support vessel has a 100 ton heave compensated offshore crane and is specially designed for ROV and light construction duties.

Siem Offshore has been active of late, recently selling the DP2 offshore subsea construction vessel Daya 1, while on Friday the company chartered out PSV Siem Pilot (5,000 dwt, built 2010) to the Norwegian Ministry of Justice and Public Security for work with refuges in the Mediterranean.
