Siem Offshore wins AHTS contract in Australia

Siem Offshore has won a contract from Woodside Energy that will employ one of its anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels in Australia.

Siem Amethyst  (4,250 dwt, built 2011) will start the contract in November. The firm period expires in August 2016, but the charterer has the option to extend the contract by two six-month periods.

No rate for the deal was disclosed.
