Siem Shipping names new CEO

Kenneth Ross will succeed Simon Stevens as CEO of Oslo-listed Siem Shipping Inc, which owns and operates refrigerated vessels

Ross has been the company’s COO since 2008 and joined the UK-based company in 1998. He previously worked in commercial roles within the Vestey Group, owner of the Blue Star Line.

“Simon Stevens is handing over to Kenneth Ross a company that is in good shape and we are grateful to Simon Stevens for his dedication and contribution for developing the company,” Siem’s board said in a release today. The company did not specify when the handover would take place.

Siem Shipping’s fleet currently consists of 28 refrigerated vessels ranging from 370,000 to 616,157 cubic feet in size, according to the company’s website.
