Sime Darby sets up jv in China

Dalian: Malaysia-based Sime Darby is to set up a jv with Weifang Port and Shandong Hi-speed Transport & Logistics Investment through its subsidiary Weifang Sime Darby Port.
The new jv, with RMB1bn investment, will be engaged in the construction, management and maintenance of the sea channel, anchorage and related port infrastructure in Weifang port area.
“The JV is expected to accelerate the development of Weifang Port’s capabilities and improve its competitiveness,” Sime Darby said in a statement. [12/03/14]
