Simon Møkster sells off ageing PSV to Baltmed

Norway’s Simon Møkster Shipping has sold 1999-built PSV Stril Neptun to Greek interests for work outside of the offshore shipping segment.

The vessel has already been delivered to the new owners, which according to VesselsValue is Panos Laskaridis’s company, Baltmed Reefer Services. It has been renamed Glaros.

VesselsValue reports the sale price at $1.4m.

Grant Rowles

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List. In 2009 Grant joined Seatrade responsible for the commercial development of Seatrade’s Asia products. In 2012, with Sam Chambers, he co-founded Asia Shipping Media.

    Open air shipping or is Laskiridis planning to shuttle reefer containers on the deck of his PSV – maybe to open up shallow water inland ports?
