Singapore gears up for busy week

Singapore: Were it any other city in the world this week would be deemed busy enough to merit a branding as a 'Maritime Week'. But this is Singapore, land of myriad maritime meetings, and the official Maritime Week does not take place until next month. However, this week is manic. Led by the Asia Pacific Maritime, Singapore's largest shipping exhibition, which will see 1,500 companies from 53 countries descend on the Marina Bay Sands for three days from Wednesday for this big conference and exhibition, where our parent, Asia Shipping Media (ASM) has a stand.

Other events in the week include an exclusive shipowner lunch organised by Maritime CEO, a sister title of this site, as well as an ASM offshore marine breakfast to be held at the Fullerton Hotel in association with Standard Chartered Bank. ASM is also organising drinks to invited guests on the sidelines of Asia Pacific Maritime with partners M3 Marine, Transas and Rustibus.
