Singapore govt spending to develop offshore expertise

 

Singapore: Singapore's Workforce Development Agency is to invest S$2.3m ($1.9m) in nurturing future executives in the marine and offshore industry. 
 
The government is to fund two programs named Workforce Skills Qualification Operations Management Innovation Programme (OMNI@Marine) and a scholarship scheme Skills Training for Excellence Programme (STEP). 
 
WDA will provide course fee subsidies of up to 90% for smaller enterprises. [25/10/12]
