Singapore shipping annual launched

Singapore: SeaShip News today launches its debut Singapore Market Report, taking a holistic look at the city-state’s maritime and offshore industries. As well as the print edition, readers can read the magazine online via this site for free.

Highlighting what makes this title different editorially to its competitors, editorial director Sam Chambers said: “Like flies, where there is shipping activity media outlets swarm. Singapore reports tend to be company specific, rarely ‘big picture’ and lacking analysis.

“SeaShip News’s expressed intention is to tease out exclusive information and data in shipping and offshore across Southeast Asia.

“SeaShip News Singapore 2013 is an extension of this commitment. Our intention was not to be lazy and merely interview individual companies, but to provide comprehensive sectoral reports where we assess the strengths and weaknesses of individual segments in Asia’s shipping capital. As such, the SeaShip News Singapore magazine serves as a shipping annual.”

Sectors for coverage include finance, yards, law, ports, bunkering, shipmanagement, owners and offshore.

The magazine also incorporates the thoughts of 17 shipowners, and contains a useful timeline detailing every key news event connected to Singapore maritime thus far this year.

Many more regional shipping annuals are on the ASM editorial drawing board.
