Singapore shipping annual returns

Singapore: Today sees the official launch of marketing for SeaShip News’s forthcoming Singapore market report.

Last year’s edition – available to read here – elicited very positive feedback for its commitment to tackle tricky issues rather than go down the standard route of so many other publishers, namely the single company puff profile. This holistic coverage combined with a unique timeline detailing every single key maritime event of the year ensured SeaShip News’s Singapore Market Report 2013 became the shipping annual for the Lion Republic, with a long shelf life for the thousands of shipping executives who were sent it.

For 2014, the same spirit forms the bedrock of our editorial. This time around however we are making the publication more interactive, launching next week a poll looking at the strengths and weaknesses of Singapore as an international maritime centre, the results of which will be published in the magazine this November.

SeaShip News has put together a strong editorial line up of local and international journalists and economists for what will be the definitive guide to Singapore maritime.

Commented editor, Sam Chambers, “Maritime media is awash with pointless advertorial on Singapore that is rightly tossed in the bin after a cursory, 10 second flick through. What we have set out to do is to provide both local and overseas readers with something substantial, interesting and readable.”

Advertisers seem to agree, with ABS, AMS Marine, AXSMarine, Inmarsat, Kheng Cheong, KVH International, M3 Marine, Marshall Islands Registry, MTU, Poten and Partners, Primeair HVAC, PSA International, Rustibus, Siemens Industry Software, Singtel, Survivial Craft Inspectorate and Unimarine Lubricants already signed up for the 2014 issue.

The magazine will be distributed to 3,000 top shipping executives in the Lion Republic plus made available to read free of charge online. It will also be at events including: OSEA, TransAsia, Offshore Support Vessels conference, Singapore Maritime Week and NorShipping.
