Sinopacific wins offshore module contract

Shanghai: Sinopacific Offshore has signed with Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) for the construction of floating production unit (FPU) modules for Total’s Moho Nord project in the Republic of the Congo.

HHI was earlier awarded an EPC contract from Total for an FPU which includes 16 topside modules. Sinopacific Offshore has been chosen to build two of the modules and become the first qualified module supplier for Total in China.

“We have been improving our standards in technology, safety and environment protection in order to gain the approval from Total. We are making effort to further expand the offshore market which involves become EPC for large scale offshore project,” said Simon Liang, president of Sinopacifc Group. [21/02/14]
