Sinotrans Shipping appoints new chairman

Sinotrans Shipping, the shipping unit of Chinese logistics giant Sinotrans & CSC, has announced the appointment of Su Xingang, to take over Li Zhen, as the new chairman of the company.

Su Xingang, 60, used to serve in the Ministry of Transport of China, is also the chairman of China LNG Shipping and a vice president of China Merchants Group. Sinotrans & CSC completed a merger with China Merchants in 2017 and has since been operating as a subsidiary of China Merchants Group.

Sinotrans Shipping currently operates a fleet of 52 vessels comprising of 37 bulkers, 13 containerships and two tankers.
