Six US port projects succeed in bids for Tiger funding

Commercial seaports and projects that benefit the flow of goods through the country’s ports have been granted $61.8m in the latest announcement of Tiger grants by the US Department of Transportation.

This year’s Tiger (Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery) grants announced by Transportation secretary Anthony Foxx amount to $500m and seaport-related ones fetched 12.36% of the total.

The six successful seaport-related bids were from: Albany, New York; Guam; US Virgin Islands; Everett, Washington; Portland, Oregon; and Little Rock, Arkansas.
