SK Shipping offloads supramax

SK Shipping of South Korea has sold a Dolphin 57 design bulker to Strategic Bulk Carriers, part of M.T. Maritime Management Group from the US.

Strategic is paying in the low $8ms, according to Clarksons Research, for the K. Jasper built in 2012 at Zhejiang Zhenghe in China.

The price falls in line with recent transactions. Last week, four Dolphin 57 design supramax bulkers built at the same yard in 2010 were sold for a price in the low $7ms per vessel.

Strategic already has two supramaxes built at Zhejiang Zhenghe on its books.
