Smit Lamnalco awarded Mozambique FLNG terminal support contract

Royal Boskalis Westminster has announced that its 50% associated company Smit Lamnalco has been awarded a 10-year contract, with additional extension options, by Coral FLNG to provide integrated marine services to the first Mozambique FLNG terminal.

The contract will commence early 2022 and is worth in the region of $220m.

Smit Lamnalco will deploy three new 95 ton bollard pull tugs to provide escort, berthing and unberthing services to LNG carriers at the facility. A new offshore support vessel will also be utilised to provide logistical and marine services support.

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. He gained strong management experience in publishing, conferences and awards schemes in the shipping and legal areas, working on a number of titles including Lloyd's List. In 2009 Grant joined Seatrade responsible for the commercial development of Seatrade’s Asia products. In 2012, with Sam Chambers, he co-founded Asia Shipping Media.
