Dalian: A 28,400 dwt bulker CSE Clipper Express has grounded in a severe snowstorm off the coast of Japan yesterday, Japanese local media reported.
The ship, which is operated by Taiwanese company China Steel Express, was on its way from Akita to Taiwan and was caught in the snowstorm with wind of about 25 meters per second.
20 crew memebers including 11 Taiwanese and 9 Chinese remain onboard, but are unharmed.
