Sokhna strike ends

Cairo: Major General Mohamed Abdel Kader Gaballah, head of the Red Sea Ports Authority, has said the three week long strike at Sokhna has ended with subcontractor demands met and a number of sacked staff reinstated.

Nevertheless, the damage from this strike, not the first one to hit the port this year, could be serious with a number of key lines shifting business elsewhere in the past week.  [30/05/13]
