Solstad Farstad renamed Solstad Offshore

Solstad Farstad has changed its name to Solstad Offshore, announcing the change on social media yesterday.

The company was formed last year by the merger of Farstad Shipping, Solstad Offshore and Deep Sea Supply, consolidating a fleet of over 150 vessels. It has since trimmed its fleet down to 141, mostly offloading ageing anchor handlers.

The merger is expected to produce around NOK700m-800m ($86m-$98m) in annual savings by the end of this year.

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore.
