Solstad marches on with third contract extension this month

Oslo: Solstad Offshore has announced that Subsea 7 has declared an option to extend the contract for the construction vessel Normand Seven (built 2009).

The extension is for one year, starting from September 2015, and is the first of five options attached to the contract.

Solstad has announced three extensions this month, Normand Ivan is continuing on with Murphy Sabah Oil offshore Malaysia, while Saipem declared their option to extend DP vessel Normand Cutter for work off West Africa for a further year.

Solstad has a fleet of 48 vessels, and a further one on order.

Grant spent nine years at Informa Group based in London, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore.
