Solstad Offshore awarded Dong Energy contract for CSV pair

Norway’s Solstad Offshore has entered into a contract with Dong Energy Wind Power for the charter of two construction support vessels.

The Rem Installer, which is being renamed Normand Jarl, will commence in February 2017 for a firm period of 23 months with a further 6-month option. An additional CSV, to be nominated later, will commence its contract on April 1, 2018 for a firm period of 7 months with a further 8-month option.

“The contract with DONG Energy Power is a strategically important contract for Solstad Offshore in the company’s continued commitment to the renewable energy segments,” the company said in a release.

Financial details of the charters were not revealed.
