Solstad Offshore has agreed a four-year extension with Subsea 7 for construction support vessel Normand Subsea.
.The vessel has been on charter to Subsea 7 since it was first delivered in 2009, and the new contract keeps the vessel on contract until the end of 2023. There are also two additional annual options available.
“We are very pleased with being awarded this new contract with one of our key clients, Subsea 7. This is another evidence that the subsea maintenance activity is gradually starting to pick up again,” said Lars Peder Solstad, CEO of Solstad Offshore.
The vessel is being used for a contract with BP UK, who awarded Subsea 7 a five-year contract yesterday for subsea construction, inspection, repair and maintenance services covering its North Sea region portfolio of assets.
